With great pleasure we welcome you to view our web site. We specialize in electronic medical publications. Our Mission is to provide free electronic medical education to medical students, physicians, and the public in general. In our attempt to give back to our roots, our first project (The Oea Review of Medicine) was designed to include qualified participants from our Home country Libya. The participation included physicians practicing all over the world who shared our ideas and our eagerness to contribute to medical education, starting with our beloved home with potential for global expansion.

What is Oea?
Our publishing enterprise is named after ancient Tripoli (Oea). Oea was founded by the Phoenicians before the 12th century BC. It was one of the Phoenician cities that became part of their maritime chain which extended from Lebanon (Tyre) to Spain. After the demise of Carthage in 146 BC, Oea was conquered by the Romans. For one hundred years Oea was ruled by the Romans’ ally, the Berber king of Numidia. Later Julius Caesar declared Tripolitania (Tri-cities Oea, Leptis Magna, and Sebrata) as a Roman province. Some references suggest that Oea was the name of the territory now called Libya.
